Description

A women's ethnic costume from Macedonia, from the region of Ohrid, the villages near the Ohrid Lake. The costume is kept in a very good condition, without damages of any kind. It is made and was used at the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century. Every part of the costume is handmade, hand woven and embroidered. The parts of the costume are: shirt (dress), 2 vests, socks, scarf and apron. The apron of this costume is very rare and unique because is made of cotton, woven ( most of the aprons on other costumes are made of wool).
