Antique circa 1910 Sentinel Alarm Strong Box Safe Lockbox Rare Japanned Steel
Trigger mechanism on handle which sets off alarm when released or possibly when depressed, coin slot would indicate this box was likely for transporting money such as payrolls on a train or coach.  The alarm is a large steel bell powered by battery. Holes are on the bell end of the box to allow sound to be heard better.  Unusual and rare japanned steel case.  Condition is very good with signs of age mostly to top. Slight bulge to metal at lock hasp could easily be straightened.  Alarm is untested but appears to be complete and likely functional.
