    Description

Here is a RARE and in my opinion historic offering.  This is a JSA certified autographed team signed football from 37 members of the 1968 Chicago Bears.  Why is this so rare?  Brian Piccolo has autographed this football.  Everyone knows the story, watched the move "Brian's Song" or read the book "A Short Season".  If you haven't, just google Brian Piccolo.  Here are just a couple of highlights and honors bestowed on Brian:
Running back for the Chicago Bears 1965-69
ACC Player of the Year: 1964
    Second Team All American: 1964
Chicago Bears Retired his jersey number: 41
Since 1970 the Chicago Bears have given out the Brian Piccolo award given annually to one rookie and one veteran who best exemplifies courage, loyalty, teamwork, dedication and sense of humor.
Brian's autograph is one of the most soft after, rare, and expensive autographs to obtain in the market because of tragic, early death at the age of 26.
His relationship with Gale Sayers is historic and will live on as long as there is football.
Other significant autograph's on this football is a 3rd year certified autograph of Hall of Famer Dick Butkus and 37 total certified team autographs from the 68 Bears.
Unfortunately, some has evidently copied over the autograph of Gale Sayers, probably in an attempt to make it stand out - it did more harm than good.
Thanks for checking out this listing and good luck!
